The system supports the HOME Program (single family and multifamily) and the Housing Trust Fund.
Single Family and Homeless Programs
TDHCA administers many programs through separate Divisions to assist persons experiencing or at-risk of homelessness. TDHCA awards funds to assist units of general local governments, public housing authorities, nonprofits, local agencies in the provision of assistance to low-income Texans with a focus on housing and housing-related assistance and services. Through HOME-ARP, TDHCA also offers funds for development of rental housing or non-congregate shelter. TDHCA does not provide any services directly to individuals, but may provide referrals though Help for Texans.
