Program Details/Overview
The TBRA Program is funded through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME Program or HOME). TBRA funds organizations to provide the following services to qualified households and individuals:
- Security and utility deposits; and
- Rental subsidies for up to 24 months while the household engages in a self-sufficiency program. If available, additional funds may be set-aside to provide assistance beyond 24 months for households meeting certain program requirements.
Programs
TDHCA contracts with units of general local governments, public housing authorities, local mental health authorities, and nonprofit entities that provide affordable housing to lower income families in their local communities. Applicants must be familiar with Program rules and Regulations.

Program Beneficiaries must have a household income that does not exceed 80% of Area Median Family Income (AMFI) who are seeking rental assistance.
