TDHCA's CRP helps build new facility

The City of Lyford celebrated the recent groundbreaking of the Lyford Resiliency Center, made possible by a $5 million grant through TDHCA’s Community Resiliency Program. The Center will provide a place for residents to attend health and wellness classes and serve, as needed, as a central command post for any future emergency events.
The Community Resiliency Program is funded through the Community Development Block Grant CARES Act, and allows low- and moderate-income areas, and rural and small metro communities to address gaps in their ability to prepare, prevent and respond to a future pandemic.
