TDHCA is releasing a proposed rule action for 10 TAC Section 23.50 Tenant-Based Rental Assistance (TBRA) General Requirements and asking for public comment. The proposed rule action was approved by the TDHCA Governing Board on April 10, 2025. All public comments must be received by 5 p.m., Central Time, on May 26, 2025.

The purpose of amending this section of 10 TAC Chapter 23 is to provide an exception to the lifetime limitation on the term of assistance for households assisted with TBRA if they are persons with disabilities that meet certain requirements. This amendment clarifies that Persons with Disabilities can be served for longer than 60 months if certain parameters are met.

The proposed rule action can be found on the TDHCA Public Comment Center at https://www.tdhca.texas.gov/tdhca-public-comment-center and is expected to be posted in the Texas Register edition dated April 25, 2025, at http://www.sos.state.tx.us/texreg/index.shtml.
