Current Income and Rent Limits

Below are archived limits for maximum allowable incomes and rents for specific programs administered by the Department (Texas only). The maximum allowable income and rent limits are compiled on a county-by-county basis with the major Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSAs) listed individually. The Department calculates income and rent limits based on figures provided by HUD. HUD updates the figures annually, usually in the first quarter of the year. The Department will post updated rent and income limits to this page as soon as possible after HUD releases the information.

Housing Tax Credits

Income Limits

• If your project had at least one building placed in service prior to 12/31/2008 use HTC Income Limit Table 1 (XLS).
• If your project had at least one building placed in service between 1/1/2009 and 5/14/2010 use HTC Income Limit Table 2 (XLS).
• If your project placed their first building in service after 5/14/2010 use HTC Income Limit Table 3 (XLS).

Rent Limits

• If your project was placed in service on or prior to December 31, 2008 use Tax Credit Rent Table 1 (XLS)
• If your project was allocated Housing Tax Credits on or prior to 2/12/2008 and placed in service on or after 1/1/2009 OR, if your project received an allocation between 3/19/2009 and 5/14/2010 use Tax Credit Rent Table 2 (XLS)
• If your project received an allocation between 2/13/2008 and 3/18/2009 use Tax Credit Rent Table 3 (XLS)
• If your project receives an allocation on or after 5/14/2010 use Tax Credit Rent Table 4 (XLS)

Housing Trust Fund

Income Limits

• If your LURA is dated prior to December 31, 2008 use Housing Trust Fund Income Table 1 (XLS)
• If your LURA is dated between 1/1/2009 and 5/13/2010 use Housing Trust Fund Income Table 2 (XLS)
• If your LURA is dated on or after 5/14/2010 use Housing Trust Fund Income Table 3 (XLS)

Rent Limits

• If your LURA is dated prior to December 31, 2008, use Housing Trust Fund Rent Table 1 (XLS)
• If your LURA is dated between 1/1/2009 and 5/13/2010 use Housing Trust Fund Rent Table 2 (XLS)
• If your LURA is dated on or after 5/14/2010 use Housing Trust Fund Rent Table 3 (XLS)

Tax Exempt Bond

Income Limits

• If your project received an initial determination notice on or prior to 2/12/2008 and placed in service after 1/1/2009 OR, if your project received a determination notice between 3/19/2009 and 5/14/2010 use Tax Exempt Bond Rent Table 2 (XLS)
• If your project received a determination notice between 2/13/2008 and 3/18/2009 use Tax Exempt Bond Rent Table 3 (XLS)
• If you project receives a determination notice after 5/14/2010 use Tax Exempt Bond Rent Table 4 (XLS)
