As part of the Public Comment period for the Draft 2025 State of Texas Low Income Housing Plan and Annual Report (SLIHP), TDHCA will hold a public hearing at 2 p.m. Central time on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at the Brown-Heatly Building, 4900 North Lamar, Room 1430, Austin, TX 78751.

The public comment period for the draft document starts at 8 a.m. Central time on Friday, December 20, 2024, and runs until 5 p.m., Central Time, on Monday, January 20, 2025.

The SLIHP offers a comprehensive reference on statewide housing needs, housing resources, and strategies for funding allocations. It reviews TDHCA's housing programs, current and future policies, resource allocation plans to meet state housing needs, and reports on performance during the preceding state fiscal year (September 1, 2023, through August 31, 2024). 

Anyone may submit comments on the SLIHP in written form or oral testimony at the public hearing. Written comments may be submitted to Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs, Attn: Housing Resource Center, P.O. Box 13941, Austin, Texas 78711-3941, or by email to the following address: info@tdhca.texas.gov.
