TDHCA will hold a public comment period starting 8 a.m. Central time on Friday, December 20, 2024, until 5 p.m., Central Time, on Monday, January 20, 2025, to obtain public comment on the Draft 2025 State of Texas Low Income Housing Plan and Annual Report (SLIHP).

The SLIHP offers a comprehensive reference on statewide housing needs, housing resources, and strategies for funding allocations. It reviews TDHCA's housing programs, current and future policies, resource allocation plans to meet state housing needs, and reports on performance during the preceding state fiscal year (September 1, 2023, through August 31, 2024). 

During the public comment period, a public hearing will take place as follows:

Anyone may submit comments on the SLIHP in written form or oral testimony at the public hearing. The full text of the Draft 2025 SLIHP and its associated Rule may be viewed on the Department's website at https://www.tdhca.texas.gov/tdhca-public-comment-center. The public may also receive a copy of the Draft 2025 SLIHP by contacting TDHCA's Housing Resource Center at (512) 475-3976.
