TDHCA will present National Standards of the Physical Inspection of Real Estate (NSPIRE) Training, live online, on Friday, January 10, 2025, from 9 to 10:30 a.m., Central Time.

The webinar will be led by TDHCA Physical Inspection staff and will provide information that owners, managers, and on-site staff need to know to comply with the new NSPIRE inspection standards. Staff will discuss NSPIRE and the inspection standards. Participants will learn about the NSPIRE standards, the most common deficiencies found under NSPIRE, and receive guidance on how to prepare for upcoming inspections. TDHCA staff will also discuss non-scoring defects, delayed scoring defects, new smoke detector and carbon monoxide alarm requirements, and much more.

Multifamily Compliance staff will remain available afterward in an open session forum until 11:30 a.m. on January 10 to allow the Department's partners to ask questions on any multifamily compliance topic. Webinar participants may remain online, or for those not wanting to attend the NSPIRE webinar, please login around 10:30 a.m. This is an opportunity for all participants to ask or listen to multifamily compliance-related questions.

The open forum time of the webinar time will cover multifamily compliance or physical inspection topics as brought up by interested parties. There will be no formal presentation during this timeframe, but staff will be on-hand to answer questions and offer guidance.

Attendance for the webinar and open session forum is FREE, and registration is required. Please register online at https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/2287411240017067868.
